I owned this game as a child, back when it first came out in 2000. I played it all the time and really enjoyed it. At the time, I played a lot of horse games because I was no longer taking horse-riding lessons. This was by far my favorite one and I played it off and on for years until the CD broke. Recently, I wanted to play it again so I searched around on Amazon and found this version (the same one I used to own) for an amazing used price.The basics: there are four horses to ride, but only one is available at the start of the game. You have to unlock the other horses by earning credits. You earn credits by competing in events, doing the scavenger hunt, answering trivia questions and caring for the horses. There are three events to compete in: Dressage, Show Jumping and Cross Country. There are five levels of each event, which also need to be unlocked with credits.This game is a lot of fun and is still enjoyable to play after you've unlocked everything. The riding graphics/animations are not the best (keep in mind that the game is ten years old) - but the barn is incredibly realistic and the horses themselves are adorable and lifelike.Of all the horse games I've ever played, and I've played most of them, this is the one I always come back to. It's simply the best overall horse game experience.Also, I suggest you look up the games you're interested in on YouTube before you buy anything. Most video games have at least one video showing the graphics and gameplay, so you can decide whether or not it would suit you.
